This feature Creates a new layer group. Layer groups are used to simplify and organize feature classes for:

• Ease of display
• Management of large numbers of feature classes
• Control and work with multiple feature classes at one time

Choose which layers in the group are displayed. To toggle the display of individual features, expand the group and toggle as needed.

To add features to a layer group, select them from the layer list, hold down the CTRL key, and drag/drop to the destination layer group.

To remove features from a layer group, select the features to remove, hold down the CTRL key, and drag/drop to Layers.

The right-click menu of a Layer Group provides many of the same options found in the right-click menu of a feature.

The Attach Reference(s) in Group feature opens the Attach Reference dialog. All features found in the attached file will be added to the selected Layer Group.
